Alice Maud Watts (Nee Hainsworth)

 

Daughter of Frederick and Sarah Elizabeth Hainsworth (Nee Robinson)

 Alice was born June 13, 1879 at Scott Hall, Buslingthorpe, Leeds. Alice was very nice looking, with blue eyes and dark brown hair. She had a lovely gentle nature and was always very kind.

Alice married James Lawrence Watts on September 2, 1899, in the Queen Street Chapel , Buslingthorpe, Leeds.

 

Alice and her husband had four children:

Edith:                                                 B: 1901                        Died in infancy

Mildred:                                            B: 1902                        Died in infancy

Kathleen Mary (Auntie Kit)          B: March 17, 1903      Died 10 March, 1988

James Frederick Watts (Dad)       B: March 30, 1911      Died 14 September, 1958

Her son Jim was the “apple of her eye”. The sunshine went out of her life when he emigrated to Australia.

Alice died August 29, 1932 in St James Hospital, Leeds, and was buried from her sister Lily’s house, 2 Burwood Avenue, Leeds.
